About the Founder
Chris Ortiz started Kaizen Assembly in 2005 when living in North Carolina. He has spent the majority of his professional career working for Fortune 500 companies, teaching and guiding them to become more efficient businesses. He has designed and constructed well over 100 assembly lines and other manufacturing processes resulting in millions of dollars in cost savings and waste reduction. Chris has also led over 150 kaizen events around the country.

He has been trained by the John Costanza Institute of Technology in "Demand Flow Technology" and by the Georgia Institute of Technology for ISO 9001: 2000 Internal Quality Auditing. He is also a member of the Institute of Industrial Engineers and the Society of Manufacturing Engineers.
Chris is also a published author of three lean manufacturing books. His lean implementation techniques have been featured in a variety of trade magazines, newspapers, and corporate newsletters. He has been featured in the Chicago Tribune, The Seattle Times, The Orlando Sentinel, The Pittsburgh Tribune Review, Industrial Engineer Magazine, Industrial Management Magazine, and other lean manufacturing newsletters and periodicals.
